Field-grey trousers were issued en 1940. The troops carry light infantry equipment, they must be Panzergrenadiers mécanisés ou motorisés who have left their personal gear dans l'autochenille ou camion. The M.1943 Einheitsfeldbluse was similar in appearance, but it was produced from cheaper cloth, et le collet et pattes d'épaules were made from the same field-grey material. L'uniforme M.1936 may be painted reed-green pour représenter le treillis M.1944 cotton twill Kampfanzug d'été. The entrenched figurines are conversions of standing riflemen cut apart at the waist et glued into individual foxholes.

Évaluation

  • Choix de sujet excellent, these Airfix figurines cover the early war years until the introduction of the M.1944 Einheitsfeldbluse which looked more like le treillis britannique of the period.
  • Excellent poses suitable pour dioramas et jeux de guerre. The figurines are anatomically correct et they are accurately posed pour représenter infanterie mécanisée et motorisée in combat ou patrolling near the front.
  • Le mix de figurines is suprisingly close to an actual infantry platoon. There is an officier, several sous-officiers, et enough light machine gunners et riflemen to fill the infantry squads.
  • Compatible avec Fujimi, Matchbox, Milicast, Cromwell Models, Ostmodels, MMS, et Vac-U-Cast.
  • The rifleman rampant is not a particularly useful ou attractive figurine. His rifle looks like a stick, et his helmet is shaped incorrectly.
  • There is no loader to accompany the marching machine gunner. A rifleman carrying two ammunition boxes would have been nice to have, et much more useful than the rifleman rampant.

Possibilités de Conversions

  • Le soldat blessé peut être convertie en équipage de mortier by replacing his left arm avec an outstrechted arm holding a mortar round. The face needs to be reconstructed when the hand is removed from it, but minor facial damage will not be very obvious, because le figurine is looking down.
  • Some of the figurines may be shown avec la casquette de campagne Einheitsfeldmütze which became available en 1943. Suitable heads avec la casquette de campagne may be scrounged from the Airfix Afrikakorps figurine set.

These Airfix figurines are among the oldest scale miniatures on the market today, but they continue to set a sculpting standard against which other manufacturer's infanterie allemande need to be judged.
