Infanterie de Marine d’un Seebataillon impériale allemande de chez Copplestone Castings. Ces figurines may be used pour représenter le Ir au IIIe Seebataillon impérial allemand en uniforme tropical. Un shako was worn avec l’uniforme bleu de Prusse. Les bataillons étaient distingués by bataillon numerals I., II. ou III. on the shoulder boards. Mounted marine infantry detachments were formed on occasion, et the III. Seebataillon was authorized by Imperial Order of 14 Juin 1901 to raise an entire company of mounted infantry. Existing combat engineer detachments were increased to a marine combat engineer company en 1910, et independent machine-gun platoons formed a machine-gun company en 1911. The III. Seebataillon had an attached battery of naval field artillery.
