Camp Militaire Historique au Parc du Château de Fasanerie, 6-8 Août 1999
On the weekend of 7-8 Août 1999, l’Association d’Histoire Militaire et Civil Hessoise - IG Hessische Militär- und Zivilgeschichte - held their annual reenactment event again at Schloss Fasanerie near Fulda, Allemagne. The picture shows a grenadier et un sergent du Régiment d’Infanterie de Hesse-Darmstadt (Nr. 12) prussien. On duty, this sergent carried an original spontoon on loan from the armoury du Landgrave de Hesse-Cassel. The participants came from different parts de l’Allemagne, England, et les États-Unis. In addition to the splendid military displays, the organizers had invited des reconstituteurs civils to show their craft ou trade. A blacksmith made tent pegs, et latches he sold to fellow re-enactors et visitors, a weaver went about his business, producing one yard of linen cloth per hour, the armourer had swords et bayonets on display, an engineer mapped the area of the camp, a saddler sold brides et riding boots, off-duty soldiers built simple camp furniture, et their wives took care of the field kitchen. A tavern had been opened up in one of the guard houses, et a rowdy beer carousal developed there on Saturday night. Participating Units
